The contractor shall inspect, calibrate, certify, and provide a 12-month warranty for two FARO Arms systems and two Laser Line Probes, located at the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida 32212-0016, Building 101. Return shipping shall be included in the price to calibrate and certify FARO arms and shall not be billed separately. FARO arm scanners are used to measure and reverse engineer parts for the F/A-18 program. The scanners are also used to verify dimensions of Critical Safety Items (CSIs) and first production run (FPR) parts as stated in FRCSEINST 4861.1B. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
