This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source contract in accordance with (IAW) FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) intends to solicit and award a sole source Firm Fixed price contract type for Quintos/Avure fluid cell press QFC1.1x4-1000 repair and maintenance at Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) via commercial procurement procedures. Quintus Technology, LLC is the sole manufacturer and OEM of the existing fluid cell press and does not have authorized service providers to provide parts or perform factory authorized services. The fluid cell press and its components are proprietary to Quintus Technology, LLC. Quintus has been the sole source provider of the current fluid cell press since it was purchased in 2004. This Sources Sought notice is not a request for competitive proposals and does not commit the Government to award a contract because of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
