The NAWCAD Lakehurst Prototype, Manufacturing and Test Division has a requirement for high-strength, non-rotating steel wire rope, 1-7/16-inch diameter with polypropylene core, a Critical Safety Item integral to US Navy Cross Deck Pendant assemblies for aircraft arrest. The Government seeks industry input on components that may meet these requirements, including product specifications, sketches, certifications, and, if available, a separate price list; price data does not imply contractual obligation. Respondents should submit written responses, not exceeding ten pages, via email to danielle.m.russo4.civ@us.navy.mil, with all costs borne by the respondent. The RFI also requests information on small business size status under NAICS 332618 (500 employees), socioeconomic categories, anticipated in-house performance, and capability/resources to perform.
