The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ, intends to solicit on a sole-source basis to Wireco Worldgroup Inc. for steel wire rope, 1-7/16 inch diameter. The wire rope is used to make the Cross Deck Pendant (CDP). The Government intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1), Revolutionary FAR Overhaul 6.103-1, because only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The determination not to open the requirement to competition based on responses is solely within the Government’s discretion. Applicable classifications are PSC 4010 (Chain and Wire Rope) and NAICS 332618 (Other Fabricated Wire Product Manufacturing).
