NAWCAD Lakehurst intends to award a sole-source procurement to Fastener Technology Corp. for a Flaring Tool, P/N T2797-12, NSN 5120-01-664-3922, supporting the MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Air Systems Program for the U.S. Navy and Royal Australian Air Force. The tool is used to create precise, leak-tight flares on rigid tubing for various fluid systems within the MQ-4C Triton. The sole-source basis is FAR 12.102(a) because Fastener Corp. is the OEM, owns the proprietary drawing and design rights, has no authorized distributors, and is the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience, technical expertise, and technical data. The Government states that no solicitation will be posted unless alternate offerors are identified, and this notice is not a request for competitive proposals, though responses will be considered and SAM registration is mandatory for consideration.
