The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Electromet Corporation (Electromet) for the procurement of Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence equipment cabinets and cabinet components to support the production and integration of shipboard Radio Communications Systems (RCS) and Gun Computer Systems (GCS). The Government intends to issue a five year Basic Ordering Agreement with Electromet, the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the cabinets and cabinet components which are required parts for the RCS and GCS. Electromet is the sole designer, developer and distributor of the required cabinets. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate under the authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Responses must be sent via email to the POC listed.
