The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to award of a single firm-fixed price contract on a competitive basis with either the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Designed Metal Connections, Inc. (DCM) doing business as (d/b/a) Permaswage USA (CAGE 14798), or its authorized distributors for the procurement of the Fitting Install Swaging Tool Kit (Permaswage) required to support the CV-22 Program. The objective of this effort is to contract with either DCM d/b/a Permaswage USA (CAGE 14798), Orkal Industries LLC (CAGE 4M1Q2); Adept Fasteners, Inc. (CAGE 1V0G6), or Wesco Aircraft Hardware Corp d/b/a Incora (CAGE 1V757) as currently approved and qualified sources to produce and deliver a limited quantity of units. The Government intends to procure the above item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not have the rights to current data, drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition. This effort is restricted to a limited number of responsible sources as a limited competition. A determination by the Government to limit this competition to qualified sources is solely within the discretion of the Government. Subcontracting opportunities may be available and should be sought by contacting the above listed firms. Responses to the requirement may be received from responsible sources who identify their interest and capability with authorization from the OEM.

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst NJ (NAWCADLKE) requires a Fitting Install Swaging Tool Kit used at the Intermediate level of maintenance. Definitions: The Fitting Install Swaging Tool Kit is a design metal components kit for swaging fittings to hydraulic lines ranging in various sizes. The fuel and hydraulic systems use permanently installed (permaswage) fittings throughout the system. The fittings range in size from 3/16 to 1 ½ inch 3 – 24) in diameter. The tool kit consists of swage heads, inspection gages, tube cutters, deburring tools, marking tools, marking pens and a hex key for installation of the various size fittings on tubing various wall thickness. The swaging tools are hydraulically operated using thickness and are hydraulically operated using output pressure of 10,000 pounds per square gauge (PSIG) during the swaging operation. NAWCADLKE is seeking information for industry regarding the Tool Kit. Please provide the following information about Tool Kit.
