The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey intends to issue a Sole Source, Fixed Price contract to Evident Scientific, CAGE: 9DV74, for the procurement of the following items: Ultrasonic Flaw Detector, P/N: EP650EMI-MN01, NSN: 6635-01-699-4632, Ultrasonic Transducer Kit, P/N: PD238, NSN: 6635-01-381-4368, Eddy Current Flaw Detector, P/N: N600EMI-MN01, NSN: 4920-01-693-6105, in support of the Czech Republic Ministry of Defense H-1 Program. The Government itends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements" for this action. Evident Scientific is the sole developer, designer and manufacturer of the Support Equipment and is the only source with the requisite knowledge, technical expertise, and data to support the development of this item. The Government does not have the technical data to obtain this item from an alternate source. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to htis notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
