The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCAD LKE) intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Sunbelt Design and Development (CAGE:0FCO1) for the procurement of a quantity of two (2) Thermal Imagining Cameras (PN: 3867AS142-1, NSN: 6635-01-717-6286) for the FMS Kuwait Air Force. The Thermal Imaging Cameras are used to inspect the main landing gear brakes upon aircraft landing, allowing for easy detection of hot brakes and subsequent safety measures. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements” for this action. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
