THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) is seeking additional sources for aircraft paint remover in accordance with TT-R-2918 Type I packaged in 1-gallon cans. TT-R-2918 is viewable at https://quicksearch.dla.mil/. TT-R-2918 Type I products are designed for the removal of aircraft epoxy primer/polyurethane topcoat paint systems. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. With respect to products requiring qualification, awards will be made only for products that are, at the time of award of contract, qualified for inclusion in TT-R-2918 whether or not such products have actually been so listed by that date. Contractors should be aware of requirements specified in TT-R-2918. Manufacturers should arrange to have the products that they propose to offer to the Federal Government tested for qualification in order that they may be eligible to be awarded contracts or orders for the products covered by TT-R-2918. Guidance for manufacturers and their authorized distributors who wish to submit products for NAWCAD qualification is available in Provisions Governing Qualification (SD-6).
