The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into sole source negotiations with AAR Corp. (CAGE 63537) for the procurement of Fittings Set, Rynglok (P/N RTSK8-01-001, NSN 5180-01-331-7319) in support of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) E-2D aircraft. The Rynglok fittings set is used to facilitate hydraulic tubing repair with new Rynglok fittings. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of this item is Eaton Aeroquip LLC. Eaton Aeroquip LLC does not directly sell these parts to the Government and the only known approved authorized distributor of this part that is able to fully meet the Government’s requirements is AAR Corp. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
