The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ, intends to negotite on a sole-source basis with Eaton Mission Systems, Inc., CAGE 72479, for the procurement of In-Flight Refueling (IFR) Pod Lifting Bar Assemblies, P/N: 405219-101, in support of the KC-130 Program. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this pre-solicitation synopsis. Active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) is mandatory in order to be considered for award of any Department of Defense contract. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of a contract.
