The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCAD LKE) intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm-fixed price contract on a limited competitive basis with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Sun Hydraulics, and their approved authorized distributors for the procurement of the below Support Equipment (SE) in support of the Brake Spring Component Test Stand (BSCTS) Manifolds; Manifold Assembly 65-45-12 Ductile Iron (P/N C203-229-D02-QD11) Manifold Assembly 65-45-12 Ductile Iron (P/N C203-239-D02-QD7) 65-45-12 Ductile Iron (P/N C203-269-D02-QD9) Electrical cables, 18g/PVC (P/N SY705630) Modified XMD Series 6M 12 pin Deutsch prototype cable (P/N 991720600) Universal Serial Bus (USB) Interface Cable (P/N 991-728, 991-728). Sun Hydraulics is the OEM of the BSCTS Manifolds. However, Sun Hydraulics does have approved authorized distributors for the BSCTS Manifolds hardware. Sun Hydraulics and their approved authorized distributors are the only sources capable of providing the BSCTS Manifolds SE because the drawings and technical data required for the BSCTS Manifolds SE is proprietary to Sun Hydraulics. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
