The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis for a priced modification to contract number N6833520C0388. This modification is for the procurement of QTY (1) First Article, and QTY (133) Production Units, of Maintenance Portable Electronic Display Device Interface Cable Assemblies, Part Number (P/N) 753-114-270 in support of MQ-8B/C Fire Scout Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Program. This priced modification updates the part number from P/N: 753-045-270 to P/N: 753-114-270. The anticipated awarded modification will be made to GLENAIR, Inc. located in Glendale, CA. GLENAIR, INC. was contracted by NAVAIR under contract N6833520C0388 to design and develop the Maintenance Portable Electronic Display Device Interface Cable Assemblies, to fulfill maintenance requirements. GLENAIR is the sole developer and manufacturer of these items and owns all data and drawing rights. NAVAIR intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
