The Naval Air Security Cooperation Program Office has a requirement to provide two Telephonics RDR-1700B Maritime Surveillance Radar Systems and associated sub-systems. The Government intends to issue a Firm Fixed-Price contract on a sole source basis to Telephonics Corporation, the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Telephonics is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and distributor of the RDR-1700B Maritime Surveillance Radar Systems and sub-systems and retains all proprietary data rights to the data, integration, and operation of its developed systems. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(a)(1) (formerly known as 10 U.S.C. (c)(1)), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Responses by phone or fax will not be accepted.
