The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with Rolls Royce, Bristol, United Kingdom (CAGE: K0378) for the manufacture and delivery of 104 different part numbers in varying quantities (attached) to support T-45 F405-RR-401 Engine maintenance at NASM and NASK. The engine support equipment will be utilized to remove and inspect at-risk Low Pressure Turbine modules utilizing the existing Balancing Machines, to dress the engine as required and to support the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP). The Government does not possess rights to the drawings and technical data for T-45 F405-RR-401 Engine PSE. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ seeks to identify potential sources for manufacture and delivery of 104 different part numbers in varying quantities (attached) to support T-45 F405-RR-401 Engine maintenance at NASM and NASK. Respondents to this RFI should provide the following: Technical and experience information on their ability to provide that meets the parts list above. Identification of business size, specifically small business size status Interested companies are requested to provide information on products/services similar in scope and effort. No Government-Furnished Information will be provided in conjunction with this RFI. The Government does not own technical data rights, testing or calibration procedures. Respondents to this RFI may provide catalogs, drawings/illustrations, technical manuals, training descriptions/materials, warranty information, testing documentation, brochures and/or any other documentation that describes their capability to design, develop, manufacture and support an effort of the type described herein. In addition, it is requested that respondents identify government and/or commercial customers to whom same or similar equipment and have been delivered. Provide customer points of contact, including a telephone number, e-mail address/web site, quantities sold along with dates sold, and a description of the unit(s). This RFI is issued for the purpose of determining market interest, feasibility, and capability of sources and does not constitute a request for proposal.
