The Naval Air Warfare Center – Aircraft Division, Lakehurst (NAWCAD LKE) intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source firm-fixed-price- contract for upgrade of the Government's Willis Machinery Delta Maxi Grinding Machine, which includes procurement of an Electro Permanent Magnetic Chuck, 2000 x 600mm, P/N SG-DELTA-M21; a Control for Electro Magnetic Chuck, P/N SG-DELTA-M21CON, the IUID Tag Plater, and Freight to Phillips Corp., Federal Division (CAGE: 3MPQ0) of Hanover, MD. The Willis Machinery Delta Maxi Grinding Machine is proprietary to Phillips Corp. and no other vendor has the capability for the exact design and performance with the existing machine. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within thirty days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
