This synopsis is to inform industry that the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to issue a solicitation to procure Maintenance Set Aircraft-Main Wheel Bearing (P/N: 2560764, NSN: 4920 014710176), Maintenance Set Aircraft-Nose Wheel Bearing (P/N: 2560765, NSN: 4920 014675410), and Starter – Air Turbine (P/N: 383694-1-3, NSN: 2995 009955303) for F/A-18. The Government intends to procure the above items on a sole source basis to Honeywell International Inc. (CAGE: 99193) under the authority of 10USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The solicitation, when issued, will be for a firm-fixed price contract. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
