The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Projects Incorporated (CAGE 33659) for the procurement of Plane 30, Total temperature/Static pressure (Tt/Ps) Compressor Discharge Port (CDP) Rakes (P/N 17A155-430G04). These rakes are needed for the continued development of a field performance check for the F414 turbofan engine program. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of this item is General Electric. General Electric does not directly sell these parts to the Government and the only known approved authorized distributor of this part that is able to fully meet USN requirements is Projects Incorporated. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
