Naval Air Warfare Center – Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ, intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a purchase order with Garden State Office Systems & Equipment of Edison, NJ, a sole source basis, for the preventive and corrective maintenance services for twelve (12) Vertical Lift Machines manufactured by Kardex-Remstar, LLC, located at the Prototype and Manufacturing Division (PMD) of the Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, NJ. Through Garden State Office Systems’ exclusive agreement with Kardex-Remstar, Garden State Office Systems is the only source of supply for the parts needed to service this equipment. The Government intends to procure the above services under the statutory authority of Title 10 U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Section 6.302-1, only one responsible source. FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) states services may be deemed to be available only from one responsible source when it is likely that award to any other source would result in a substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. THIS NOTIFICATION IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Sheila Battaglia at sheila.l.battaglia.civ@us.navy.mil. Responses to this notice must be submitted by 15 February 2022. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government.
