The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst intends to modify a purchase order on a sole source basis to Industrial Automation, Inc., Seattle, WA, for the procurement of a quantity of two (2) additional Pylon Handling Adapters, Part Number: 4156AS0150-1, NIIN: 016883196, to support the P-8A Poseidon Program for the Royal Australian Air Force. The Pylon Handling Adapter is used to remove and install the wing pylon and provide fine adjustments and maneuverability to align the pylon to the wing, preventing damage to the support equipment during upload and download. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The initial award was solicited as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside and Industrial Automation, Inc. was the successful offeror. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. No purchase order will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in a future competition.
