The purpose of this notice is to inform that the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division – Lakehurst, NJ intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for the manufacturing and design of Main Landing Gear Support Equipment end items; Installation Dolly P/N HFHT74A410500-5001-5002TD, Transport Dolly, P/N HFLD74A430100-5101TD, and Lifting Strap, P/N HFHT74A450500-5001TD for the F/A-18 EFG Landing Gear Overhaul Program with The Boeing Company, St. Louis MO. This effort will support the F/A-18 EFG Landing Gear Overhaul Program. The Government intends to procure the above items and services under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. Boeing is the only company that can meet the agency's need for the required Main Landing Gear Support Equipment. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
