(GTI) to procure the following Helicopter Operations Surveillance System (HOSS) Parts for the LPD-30 and LPD-31 in support of the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Visual Landing Aids (VLA) program: HOSS Low Light Mono Zoom Camera , qty 1, P/N 096-0100-01 HOSS RCSR Pan & Tilt Unit, qty 1, P/N 0418-6005 HOSS RCSR Shroud, qty 1, P/N 0418-6007 Cable Assembly, qty 1, P/N 524136-02 Distribution Box, qty 1, P/N 523968-01 Control Station, qty 1, P/N 523969-03 Joystick Controllers, qty 2, P/N 524131-01 Conn PL MS3101R14S-7S, qty 3, P/N 082-9054 Conn PL MS3406D28-15S, qty 2, P/N 082-9053 Conn BNC 31-71008, qty 4, P/N 082-9055 The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. Imenco UK Ltd. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer for HOSS and the only designer of the current configuration. Imenco does not contract with the US Government directly and has designated GTI as the sole sales provider of their products in the US. As a result, GTI is the only firm who can provide the required upgrades to the US Navy. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this synopsis in writing that contains information that may be used by the Government to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
