The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Calzoni, SRL, of Bologna, Italy for the procurement of Advanced Stabilized Glide Slope Indicators (ASGSI) engineering repair services and LED storage maintenance, in support of the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Visual Landing Aides program. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price task order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N68335-15-G-0029 under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government has limited rights for the ship interfaces, but does not own the rights to the commercial portion of the ASGSI. These limited rights do not allow the Government to provide the technical data to another source or to be utilized for competition. Thus the data, drawings, and other specifications are not available to permit full and open competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
