The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWC AD) requires a new acceleration impact sled system having a closed loop, feedback control. This impact sled system will be used to evaluate the impact of new materials, structures, and equipment on aircrew and troop safety, particularly as it relates to crash worthiness and survival issues. The new impact sled system will be able to better emulate crash situations and therefore permit a better understanding of how to protect occupants from injury. 12 June 2020 - this updated posting includes new attachments.
