The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm-fixed price Contract on a Limited-Competitive basis between approved vendors for the procurement of shackle assemblies (P/N 422246-3, NSN 4030-01-599-1804), which has been designated as an ALRE Critical Safety Item (CSI). All contractors seeking award must have prior approval from the Engineering Support Activity (ESA) at NAVAIR Lakehurst in accordance with SECNAVINST 4140(E)(2)(a). The four approved companies listed on TDR 20-17007 are Duhadaway Tool & Die Shop Inc (Cage 1V517), The Entwistle Company (Cage 20722), York Precision Machining and Hydraulics (Cage 81A16), and U.S.A Spares Inc. (Cage 1UF60). GENERAL INFORMATION: There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. The Government intends to procure the above item(s) under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
