The NAVAIR Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program, Lakehurst NJ, intends to award a Fixed Price, purchase order on a non-competitive basis with North Atlantic Industries, Inc. (cage 0VGU1), for the Synchro/ Resolver, model 5300-S3412A as a Calibration Standard (CALSTD) for MORIAH system calibration for the Automated Arresting Gear (AAG) Program. These systems are the workhorses for wind calibration at Lakehurst Depot Calibration Lab to return assets to readiness status quickly and efficiently to ensure combat-ready aircraft. The government does not own the data or drawing rights required to make this a competitive procurement for the hardware. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
