The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to issue a contract on a limited competition basis between Clemco Industries Corp., 1 Cable Car Dr., Washington, MO 63090, and its authorized distributors, for the procurement of Glove Box Blast Units (GBBU), NSN: 4920-01-599-1300, P/N: 25913, required for Brake repair and overhaul for the P-8A Poseidon Program. This procurement is for a quantity of six (6) units, with an Option for one (1) additional unit, for the PMA-260 Corrosion Control Support Equipment Program for the United States Navy. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own current data drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition. Clemco Industries Corp. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the GBBU and owns proprietary rights to the technical data and drawings for the GBBU required for the P-8 aircraft. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice.
