Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ, intends to enter into a sole source contract with Total Quality Systems (TQS) for maintenance and support services for Intermittent Fault Detection and Isolation System (IFDIS)/ Joint Intermittence Tester (JIT) benches. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 USC 2304©(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation Section 6.302-1, only one responsible source. FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) states services may be deemed to be available only from one responsible source when it is likely that award to any other source would result in a substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government.
