The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division, Lakehurst (NAWCAD LKE) requires 8,000 feet of Cable, P/N: 5026R042A-9X. Under the authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to issue a purchase order on a limited competition basis between TE Connectivity and its authorized distributors for this /Raychem brand item, as they are considered the only responsible sources capable of providing the cable. TE Connectivity/Raychem is the sole designer, developer and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the cable. As the OEM, TE Connectivity/Raychem has authorized numerous businesses the right to distribute the cable; therefore, the cable can only be purchased from the OEM or an authorized distributor. No cable substitution is authorized. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
