NAWCAD intends to issue on a sole source basis a contract for the purchase of Night Vision Device Infinity Focus Test Sets, Part Number ANV-20/20 and Aviator Vision (AVIS) Night Vision Goggles (NVG) Test Set, Part Number ANV-126A-00. These test sets are proprietary to Hoffman Engineering who own the data rights to both test sets. The ANV-20/20 test set is used at the organizational level of maintenance to facilitate accurate goggle adjustment by the user just prior to a mission. It is used to check resolution and performance at both high and low light levels to determine the operational readiness of the Night Vision System. The ANV-126A-001 is a portable instrument used to evaluate the performance of the AN/AVS-9(V) image intensifier set. It also provides the capability to perform the full range of critical nighttime light level conditions at the I-level. The acquisition is for a Foriegn Military Sales Partner who has requested the ANV 20/20 and the ANV-126A-00 units specifically; as a result only those units will satisfy their requirement. This notice asks if you have the ability to specifically supply those two units to identify yourself to robert.battaglia@navy.mil. Rebuilt or refurbished units would not be acceptable, must be in new condition with full manufacturer's warranty. This is not a request for proposals, only information if you have the requested parts. The decision to open a competition is solely at the Government's discretion. No promise of a solicitation or competition is made in this announcement.
