This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division, Lakehurst (NAWCAD LKE) intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract for Survitec brand name hand tools to RFD Beaufort, Inc. (CAGE: 074V1) of Sharon Center, OH, in support of the JSF Tool Control Program. This effort is a continuation of the Survitec brand name tools already in place at the squadron level. The Government requires the following Survitec tools: P/N: TL104 - ALPIU Opening Tool; P/N: TL124 - Snap Fastener Closing Tool; P/N: TL125 - Snap Fastener Die Set; P/N: TL140 - Adapter and: P/N: TL147 -Die Set for Use with FT88 THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement
