The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, under the authority of 41 USC 1901, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Kampi Components, for the procurement of Underwing Access Air Duct Adapter, P/N AP-208, NSN 4520-01-668-2072, quantity 59; required to support the P-8A aircraft. The aforementioned support equipment was designed by Rhine Air, Inc. Rhine Air owns all proprietary rights to the engineering data and is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer if this adapter. Rhine Air does not sell their manufactured products by direct sale; Kampi Components Co, Inc. is their authorized product sales distributor. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a full and open competitive procurement.
