The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit on a sole source basis to Creare located in Hanover, NH. The anticipated Firm Fixed Price contract is for the acquisition of Pre-Positioning Tools (PPT)s, which are required in support of the Compact Swaging Machine (CSM) system. The Government intends to negotiate this procurement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 9 99 9(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own the data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
