NAWCAD Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate a sole-source procurement with Vital Link, Inc. (CAGE 0ZV99) for two Anchor Tiedown Weldments (Part Number 602145-01) supporting the Kuwait F/A-18 E-F Super Hornet Program. The vendor will fabricate the weldments and conduct pull testing; the components are used during maintenance of the F-414 engine inside the test cell and are critical to operational readiness. The Government cites FAR 6.302-1, stating Vital Link is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and only source with the requisite knowledge, technical experience, and production-level data. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, but the Government will consider responses and requires SAM registration for consideration.
