The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division intends to award a sole-source contract to CEVS Collins Elbit Vision Systems LLC for teardown, evaluation, repair, maintenance, and calibration of three Test Set Helmet Mounted Display-Night Vision units. This procurement supports the Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18F and EA-18G Super Hornet and Growler program. The test set provides pre-flight and periodic functional go/no-go testing for the Helmet Mounted Display with Helmet Vehicle Interface portion of the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System. The contractor is the original equipment manufacturer and the only source with the requisite knowledge and data to perform this work. This notice is for a sole-source acquisition under FAR 6.302-1, and the government will consider responses but does not request competitive proposals.
