The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to release a Request for Quote (RFQ) to American Airboat Corp. (CAGE: 0USH5) on a sole source basis for Engine upgrade of a American Airboat Blowing Rain Test Apparatus. American Airboat Corp. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and retains the proprietary rights to repair and maintain this equipment. Therefore, it must be serviced by the OEM due to proprietary rights for repair and maintenance. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
