The purpose of this notice is to inform interested parties that Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Solar Stik, Inc. for the contract requirement for the procurement of Solar Stik Inc. Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs) with minimum quantity of 56 UPSs and a maximum quantity of 83 UPSs. It’s anticipated that this will be a Firm Fixed-Price contract. Only Solar Stik Inc. manufactures UPSs that meet the unique requirements for a tactical, portable transit case UPS that is rugged and capable of operating in austere environments, provides the required backup power, accepts DC input power, and is stackable and lockable with existing RIS systems for secure transportation. The Solar Stik Inc. UPSs specifically work in conjunction with other equipment designed into RISs. Solar Stik Inc. is the only manufacturer that provides a UPS solution that meets requirements and ensures interoperability with the existing systems. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate under the authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Responses by phone or fax will not be accepted. The Government will not pay for any information received.
