The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with C & S Antennas, Inc, CAGE: 1BZ19 for the issuance of a Firm-Fixed-price contract. The contract will be for the procurement of antennas and adapters in support of the Radio Integration System (RIS) Family of Systems (FoS). C & S Antennas, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of the needed antennas and adapters. The RIS operates in austere environments, and the C & S Antennas, Inc. antennas and adapters meet Military Standard (MIL-STD) 810G, Department of Defense Test Method Standard: Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Tests, which minimizes risk of performance failures in extreme environmental conditions. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
