The purpose of this notice is to inform interested parties that Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Tricom Research, Inc.... The purpose of this notice is to inform interested parties that Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Tricom Research, Inc. (Tricom) for the contract requirement for the procurement of Tricom Research, Inc amplifiers with minimum quantity of 15 amplifiers and a maximum quantity of 756 amplifiers. It’s anticipated that this will be a Firm Fixed-Price contract. The Tricom amplifiers are the only known amplifiers that are compatible with the existing Family of Specialized Operations Vehicles (FOSOV) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Phase 4 design system. The Tricom amplifiers meet the compact and ruggedness requirements and are specifically designed for and interoperate with the L3Harris AN/PRC-163 radio, which is included in all FOSOV platforms. No other amplifiers are available or compatible with the C4ISR Phase 4 system. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate under the authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1), FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Responses by phone or fax will not be accepted. The Government will not pay for any information received.
