The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, in support of the Logistics and Maintenance Integration Division is seeking sources that can provide Logistics Product Database (LPD) software for Design Interface and Maintenance Planning efforts in compliance with SAE GEIA STD 0007B, SAE TA STD 0017, and LSA, as defined in MIL HDBK 502A, and reports as defined in SAE TA HB-0017. Information pertaining to the per seat license and maintenance costs and capabilities of the potential LPD software is sought. The contractor shall provide evidence that the LPD software is already complete and successful in the defense environment and will generate all standard reports and uses the proper business rules of the xml entities. The Contractor shall ensure that their software is fully compliant with SAE GEIA STD 0007B, and will support S1000D Integrated Electronic Technical Manual development via a common source database while also not containing any proprietary data fields that would disable the ability to share the .xml table dump files with other SAE GEIA STD 0007B compliant LPD software. The contractor shall be capable of providing and maintaining licences for individual client only and server configurations. The installation and update of said software must be capable of being accomplished by a NAWCAD Lakehurst employee with associated rights and certifications as per the required process. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on theSAM.gov website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
