The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Phillips Corporation Federal Division (Phillips Corporation) for one 5-axis Commercial-Off-the-Shelf, Haas Universal Machining Center 1000 Super Speed (model UMC-1000SS) and related hardware, training, tooling, setup, and installation. Phillips Corporation is the sole and exclusive distributor authorized to resell brand name Haas products to the United States Government. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
