The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, New Jersey, intends to solicit on a sole source basis to GE Aviation Systems LLC, doing business as Dowty Propellers, located in Sterling, Virginia. The anticipated Firm Fixed Price contract is for the acquisition of various peculiar support equipment (PSE) end items for the KC-130J aircraft in support of the KC-130J Program. The awarded contract will be a basic contract for thirty-five (35) various PSE end items. The Government intends to negotiate this procurement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own the data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
