The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a contract, on a non-competitive basis, with Navitar, Inc. of Rochester, NY for the procurement of thirty (30) Vertical/ Short Take-Off and Landing Optical Landing System (VSTOL) Lens, Drawing number 311AS3103 Rev E. These lenses will be used as components in new manufacture VSTOL OLS systems for LHA-9 and overhauls of existing systems. These systems provide glideslope indication to fixed wing Short Take-Off/Vertical Landing (STOVL) aircraft on approach to Amphibious Assault Ships (AAS). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which, if received by the date and time listed on this posting, shall be considered by the agency. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Responses to this notice must include the company name, point of contact, address, area code and telephone number, electronic mail (e-mail) address and company literature sufficient to determine the capability of this company to perform this effort.
