SYNOPSIS E-2D ADVANCED HAWKEYE PROGRAM PECULIAR SUPPORT EQUIPMENT SQUADRON SE II The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to issue an award on a Sole Source basis with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGC), Cage: 70974, for the procurement of Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) required for the maintenance support of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Aircraft System. NGC is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and systems integrator of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Aircraft. They are also responsible for designing and developing the majority of PSE used in the testing, maintenance, and repair of the Aircraft. NGC is the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience, technical expertise, and proprietary source data for the manufacture of E-2D PSE. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT POSSESS THE TECHNICAL DATA TO ALLOW FOR A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT. All responsible sources may submit a response which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
