UPDATE: 8 SEPTEMBER 2022: To reflect udpated NAICS Code of 335312 The Naval Air Systems Command, Lakehurst, NJ intends to issue a contract on limited competition basis with Tronair, CAGE 59603, and their authorized distributors for the following items: Hydraulic Power Supply, Diesel, P/N 673A5FCBBCLMNY4, NSN: 4920-01-619-3373, Coupling Hydraulic Kit, P/N KHC-1160 and Desiccant Filter, PN HC-1763 in support of the P-8A Poseidon Program in support of Royal Australian Air Force This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a full and open competitive requirement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to full and open competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in a future competition. **************************************************** The Naval Air Systems Command, Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Tronair, CAGE 59603, for the following items: Hydraulic Power Supply, Diesel, P/N 673A5FCBBCLMNY4, NSN: 4920-01-619-3373, Coupling Hydraulic Kit, P/N KHC-1160 and Desiccant Filter, PN HC-1763 in support of the P-8A Poseidon Program in support of Royal Australian Air Force The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(iii)(A), states supplies may be deemed to be available only from one responsible source when it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition.
