The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm-fixed price purchase order to Faro Technologies, Inc., Lake Mary, Florida, on a sole source basis, for one (1) Repair and Calibration (Complete Care) of a FARO Ion Laser Tracker, CCR-LT-ION-1Y-R, and one (1) Repair and Calibration (Complete Care) of a FARO Vantage Tracker, CCR-LT-V23-1Y-R. FARO Technologies is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of Ion Laser Tracker and Vantage Tracker and is the only source with the technical expertise, software, and repair parts necessary to calibrate and certify the Trackers. This notification is not a request for competitive Quotes. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
