The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Schenck Corporation (CAGE 30218) for the procurement of periodic technical maintenance services of the Balancing system (Schenck Model Number HM10BU, Nomenclature Balancing Machine, Navy Part Number 802027346204-1, NSN 4920-01-662-4556) and periodic technical maintenance services of the Balancing system (Schenck Part Number HML4UB). Schenck Corporation is the only source that can meet the Government's requirement because the complete data package for these Balancing systems is proprietary to Schenck Corporation The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
