Synopsis EIE Lapping Tools The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to issue an award on a non-competitive basis with Lockheed Martin (Cage 03538) procurement of quantity eight (80) EIE Lapping Tools required to kit the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye EIE Lapping Tool Set. The tools required are Twenty (20) P/N 77T006079P1 HP Coupler EIE Lapping Tool, Twenty (20) P/N 77T006079G3 HP Connector Saver Lapping Tool, Twenty (20) P/N 77T006079P2 ML/LP Coupler Lapping Tool and Twenty (20) P/N 77T006079PG4 ML/LP Connector Saver Lapping Tool. The EIE Lapping Tool Set will provide maintenance support to the E-2D throughout its entire life-cycle. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c ) (1), FAR 6.302-1, Lockheed Martin is is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the EIE Lapping Tools which are specifically designed to meet the form fit and function of the E-2D Hawkeye. Lockheed is the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience, technical expertise, and source data for the INCDS Pedestal Assembly and associated tool sets. Lockheed owns the technical data package for the EIE Lapping Tools required to complete this effort. Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based on the response to this notice, is solely in the discretion of the Government.
