Aircraft Ship Integrated Securing and Traversing (ASIST) System The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCAD) intends to enter into a sole-source firm-fixed price contract with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) of Ottawa K1A OS6, Canada to produce two (2) each studies to support the low risk and feasibility of putting ASIST on the DDG 51 Ship Class. Studies will include the following: 1.1 Create a CAD model of the ship flight deck structure with track layout. 1.2 Description of ASIST equipment and installation locations. In accordance with international trade agreements, the CCC will subcontract 100% of the work to Curtiss-Wright Indal Technologies, Inc. (INDAL) of Mississauga, ON, L5C 2V8, Canada. This procurement will be an order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N68335-20-G-3036. The NAICS code associated with this requirement is 541330. INDAL has designed and developed the ASIST and is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this synopsis in writing that contains information that may be used by the Government to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
